Hey Everybody! It’s Saturday around 1:00 pm and I’m sitting in my office with my head all swollen, my throat on fire and haven’t been able to sleep in 2 days. No not a coke binge!! I have the damn flu funk that seems to be sweeping the nation at the moment. I can barely sit here and type coherently but I am just very excited to show you all my new blog page!! Check it out! When you click the “more” button you are taken to my blog land. My blog land is a nice and serene swampy bog located in cyber island. So as I sit here and almost went on to tell you a story of my blog land it hit me again. Head pounding must stop……. I am off to the medicine cabinet for my dosage of an array of vitamins, some chicken soup and it looks like I will be in bed watching movies all day……. The whole band has had this bug thru the last 2 weeks and I guess it was just inevitable that I get it sooner or later. At least we’re off this week so I can get well.
In a final note..
Maybe Monk is on to something……….
Dialog Forty.
Hey folks!! Another week passes us by as if it were yesterday! It’s Wednesday night about midnight and I am embarking on yet another blog. This is my 40th blog, I can’t even imagine what I’ve said in the last 39 blogs!! Lol!! I hope somebody’s writing this down!
I think it’s finally time to introduce the band SwampdaWamp in its final form. You see, SwampdaWamp has existed for about 3 ½ years running. Throughout those years there have been member changes that some of you know about and some that you don’t. In the last 3 years we have been thru 5 B-3 players, 4 bass players and finally 1 guitar player! Through all of that we have had many auditions and trial runs with these people who inevitably didn’t work out, costing the band valuable time and stress like you wouldn’t believe. Nothing against the people that auditioned at all, don’t get me wrong. We had some great musicians play with us and we made a many new friends in doing so but styles are different and some people are just more suited for one more than the other. Once the rumors die out everybody’s happy!! LOL!!
No offense to you guys “our fans” but we had to keep it quiet for stability reasons. We didn’t sell SwampdaWamp as a reality show!! However the DVD is coming!!
So now it is with much confidence, respect & hope that we announce the welcome of Keith Inman into the Swamp as our smoking ass lead guitarist. Keith has stepped in and fits like a glove. He brings in the Les Paul modern stroke deep slingin we love!! As we venture into the new recordings I can only say that shit is gonna get ridiculous!! The new release as you know is just around the corner and we are all more stoked than ever. You will learn more about Keith in the upcoming press release’s as well as my blogs!
We also officially welcome Cody Bennett on Bass guitar. Cody has been in the mix from day one as a roadie and has been our fill in bassist for the last 8 months while we searched & auditioned and he had the ability to progress the more he played and there ya go. He is a great enthusiastic element to the band, Cheers to you Cody you’ve earned it!!
The new bio etc coming with the new tracks test release in March.
Speaking of new tracks, your response to participating in the test team has been tremendous!! I am flattered to say the least, very cool. Please encourage your friends to check it out as well, we need the support, trust me. But anyway the new tracks will be coming out on a website TBA where you will get a login thingamajig. The details shall emerge in a week or two.
I’m cutting this short to sack out now but I will have more coming very shortly..!
Well Happy Valentines Day people!
Yours Truly,
Gig

Dialog Thirty Nine.
Hey People!
It’s another day gone by with a new one on the horizon. What will it bring, how will it come about and will it be good? Isn’t that always the case? Sure it is!
I am sitting at home as usual if we aren’t playing somewhere and I had the pleasure of watching American Idol tonight. I do not partake often in such travesties but I was a mere victim tonight. So!! I am going to bestow upon you my opinion of said American Idol and how I see it relates to everyday society as we know it, or as I know it, unless I get bored with it!
You know, preying on ones weaknesses is acceptable and is the way business is done anymore. You add a couple camera’s and a few weeks of shooting and BAM, you have a hit reality show.
How sad that Americans sit back and feed on the misgivings of others. How sad that we exploit and abuse someone’s weaknesses or shortcomings for the betterment of ourselves or the advancement of a career or in American Idol’s case, ratings. I mean look at Television as a whole; Reality TV has got the top rankings and more and more keep coming. My God. “Cops” for example lives in all reality shows. It is the all relative and the all throwing somebody under the bus.
Well how about this for a reality show, we’ll call it “Depletion”. Based on a human being whose goal it is to rid society of Reality. Ironic? Yes. A new reality show; themed to the manipulating of actual reality into fantasy. And yes I’m coming up with this now as I type; reality should be in the moment, not scripted. Ok I am really getting off on a tangent here, LOL, I am about to write for you a pilot of my new reality show!! LOL!!! Without having to do so I think you get my point.
So I’m watching American Idol and thinking damn, this show is all about evoking emotion and building a drama with the audience participating….. How clever! It has nothing to do with the relevance of the talent that will come in the end. Blah Blah Blah.
Chasing Amy, I’ll be right back…..
Ok I’m back! Chasing Amy is a phrase I am incorporating into my lifestyle for personal reasons. As for the band, we are making a huge announcement next week in my blog, make sure you tune in!!!
So I’m sitting here having a drink writing this blog listening to old Bad Company tonight, Paul Rogers is great! As is the band!
Are you ready for some Swamp Hype folks!!!
